Before improving any number, you have to be able to trust it

The layer that makes everything else possible: it reads your PLCs' variables, normalises them and turns them into alerts and reports. And where there's no PLC to read, it measures anyway.

What it actually does

Everything the machine is already saying, captured

32+ variables straight from the PLC

MODBUS TCP/IP, RS485 and analog signals. What the PLC already computes stops being locked inside the cabinet.

Sensing where there is no signal

Current, vibration, temperature, pressure, RPM and vision. A twenty-year-old machine with no PLC delivers data just like a new one — that's our ideal case, not the exception.

Processing on site (edge)

The Nidus gateway decides in the plant and runs without a connection. If the link drops, the measurement isn't lost: it syncs when it comes back.

Its own channel, your network untouched

Transmission goes over Kinnil's own 4G cellular channel. We don't ask for access to your control systems or consume your bandwidth.

How it gets switched on

It's the first layer: the one you install once

DAQ is what physically goes into the plant and what every other module runs on. That's why installing it well decides whether the rest is useful: a badly taken signal contaminates every number that comes after it.

A typical line is fully measuring in under 2 weeks, at 1 day per machine and without stopping production. The only physical requirement is a 120 V power outlet.

What people ask about data acquisition

Does it work with old machines or machines without a PLC?

Yes — that's our ideal case. Non-invasive peripheral sensors: we read current, vibration and vision without touching the machine, which loses no warranty.

Do you need access to my network or my internet?

No. Kinnil equipment processes on site and transmits over its own channel. Your network and your control systems stay untouched.

What happens if the link goes down?

The Nidus keeps measuring and processing in the plant, because it runs without a connection. When the channel comes back, the information syncs and the history stays complete.
